Pure announces major update for its Jongo multiroom speaker system
Jongo X Series introduced with fresh look, new sound and enhanced performance
London, 4th September 2014: Pure announces the Jongo X Series, a major update to its Jongo multiroom speaker system that delivers a fresh look, a new audio profile, and a series of features that enhance overall performance and the way the system is set up and operated.
This is the second major update for Jongo following the recent ‘Bluetooth Caskeid’ update that enabled users to stream any music service, such as Spotify and Deezer, to single, stereo or multiroom speakers from any smartphone or tablet. This latest ‘X Series’ update now takes the system to the next level with a whole host of enhancements.
Fresh look: The Jongo X Series comes with a fresh look, high quality speaker grille with an understated ‘P’ in the corner, which can be swivelled to a vertical or landscape position depending on the speaker orientation. All Jongo speakers come in a choice of black or white. The black speakers come with a graphite speaker grille and the white with a new ice coloured grille in response to consumer demand. Consumers can purchase additional speaker grilles in a range of neutral and vibrant colours to match their home décor.
New sound: Pure’s audio engineering team has re-architected the DSP (Digital Signal Processor) to introduce a new unified sound to the Jongo X range and added dynamic equalization, which delivers a richer bass and finer tuned audio regardless of the volume level.
New set-up: Jongo is now even easier to set up and use. There is a new app assisted set-up process using the Pure Connect app that takes the user through the set-up process with no need to press any buttons on the speakers. It’s also now possible to see if other people are using Jongo in the house and identify which speakers are free to use for a separate session.
Smarter speakers: Pure has introduced smart session management to the Jongo speaker system so that the user can return to a previous session, continue listening to the content they were listening to and retain the speaker grouping even if they lose Wi-Fi connection by leaving the house. This new way of managing the session also improves the stability and performance of the system by streamlining the management of unparalleled synchronisation delivered by Caskeid, the family of technologies developed by Pure’s parent company, Imagination Technologies. Multiple sessions can be established within the home using different control devices.
The new Jongo X Series is made up of the S3X portable wireless speaker (SRP £129.99) and the T2X, T4X and T6X wireless speakers (SRP £99.99, £149.99, £199.99) and will be available from October. All current Jongo owners will benefit from the new software enhancements via an update.
