PURE sales execs light up CIH
(L-R – Clare Schofield, Vicky Barber, Sean Burke, Hannah Sutherland, Alex Sherry, Sam Hall)
London, UK 11th September 2009: PURE's sales team will be lighting up the CIH show this year with eye-catching 'What a Bright Idea!' t-shirts. The t-shirts illustrate PURE's incredibly successful 'Less than a Light Bulb' incentive campaign which has been signed up to by over 1300 store staff and 340 independent stores.
The campaign highlights that running four PURE Energy Saving Recommended radios will use less electricity than one low energy light bulb on for the same time and also gives participating staff members selling PURE Energy Saving Trust accredited radios the opportunity to win a tailor-made eco holiday* worth £500 each month until the end of this year. On top of the monthly incentive, throughout October to December 2009 dealers will have the opportunity to win the grand prize of a luxury eco-holiday worth £2,000.
The PURE sales team will be encouraging any independent dealers who haven't already signed up to the 'Less than a Light Bulb' campaign to register their interest as there are still five opportunities to win as well as the grand prize.
Winners so far have been Thomas Waddington, a salesman at Michael R Peters in Bedford, and Mrs Angela Ford, a store manager at HBH Woolacotts in Holsworthy. The PURE sales team will be highlighting the fact that there are still five more opportunities to win as well as the grand prize so dealers should visit PURE at stand 550, Hall 11 to register their interest.
To qualify for the incentive dealers simply sign up with their PURE Area Sales Executive and purchase at least one Energy Saving Recommended (ESR) radio. For every PURE ESR radio that they sell, staff can claim a single entry into the prize draw -- so the more ESR radios they sell the more entries they get.
Participating dealers will receive a special pack including POS illustrating PURE's 'Less than a Light Bulb' campaign. These clearly show that running four PURE Energy Saving Recommended radios will use less electricity than one low energy light bulb on for the same time, giving consumers a clear reason to buy**. Dealers who sign up will also receive an enhanced online presence at www.pure.com.
Dealers can email PURE at LightBulb@pure.com for more information.
PURE has received ten Energy Saving Recommended (ESR) accreditations for its radios including Move; EVOKE-1S; Siesta; Chronos II; TEMPUS-1S; ONE Mini; ONE Classic; ONE Elite; EVOKE Mio and EVOKE-2S.
*The holidays will be supplied by Ecoescape®, the acclaimed website and travel guide series for green places to holiday and will be tailored for the winner.
** A PURE Energy Saving Trust accredited DAB radio consumes less than 3.5W of electricity in 'on' mode - which with three hours of listening a day (and turned off the rest of the time) would cost 60p a year on the average energy tariff; a typical low energy bulb consumes around 13-18W, which would cost £2.10 - £2.90 a year to run for the same number of hours a day on same the average energy tariff. A typical 13-18W energy saving light bulb is equivalent to a 60W incandescent ('traditional') bulb. 'Average' energy tariff is a price of 13.95p/kWh of electricity (as at Sept 2008).
