Pure launches second generation 'PureConnect' apps for iPad, iPhone and Android
London, 10th October 2012: Pure announces second generation ‘Pure Connect’ iPad, iPhone and Android apps*, which have been designed with content and music discovery at their heart to deliver a truly immersive and engaging user-experience.
Pure Connect is a gateway to a world of audio with millions of songs; thousands of radio stations; hundreds of thousands of on-demand programmes and podcasts; and a range of ambient sounds. In addition to the apps, there is also a new and improved Pure Connect website www.pureconnect.com
The new website and apps have been designed with content at their heart and with very simple, easy to use navigation. Music discovery is made easy with a seamless journey from the moment the user logs in thanks to the new ‘discovery’ section, which includes smart recommendations based on the user’s history.
Pure Connect features content from Audioboo's new initiative, In Their Own Words, which allows content creators such as musicians, authors, comedians and more to connect more closely with their fans by sharing all aspects of their creative process through the social spoken word.
Says Colin Crawford, Pure’s marketing director: “The design and user-experience that the new Pure Connect app delivers elevates it to be a best-in-class audio service. Pure Connect offers a wealth of great content, while allowing users to explore related content and enjoy tailored recommendations. All this coupled with the customisation controls users are accustomed to, has delivered a compelling new service for music lovers.”
All content is kept synced in the cloud and users can access their content intuitively from all devices wherever and whenever they want including PCs, Macs, iOS and Android devices or any Pure music streaming product that is linked to Pure Connect.
Control for Pure’s new Jongo multiroom audio product family is built into the DNA of the Pure Connect apps. The Jongo wireless system allows users to distribute synchronised music and audio to multiple devices from a single source, including the new Pure Connect App for iPad, iPhone and Android, as well as an increasing number of Pure’s connected products.
The Pure Connect website and apps include a full music store and Pure’s music services, Pure Tag** and Pure Music***.
Coming soon: A new ‘friends’ section will be added so that users can see what their friends are listening to and share playlists socially.
The Pure Connect iPad app will go live during October on the app store followed by the second generation iOS and Android apps, which will be available by the end of the year.

Pure Music enables the user to find and play as many tracks and albums as they want on multiple devices, including Pure’s wide range of music streaming radio systems, PCs and Macs via the Pure Connect website, and Apple or Android devices running the Pure Connect app. Users can also stream all this content wirelessly in a single or multiroom environment to Pure ‘Jongo’ products.
