(March 31, 1997) VideoLogic, one of the world's leading makers of computer graphics and 3D hardware, today announced the introduction of the GrafixStar 750 to its award-winning GrafixStar product line. The new multimedia accelerator, based on the S3 ViRGE/VX integrated graphics, video and 3D controller, is designed as a high-end 2D/3D graphics solution for the professional market. It delivers high resolution, high performance Windows NT and Windows 95 acceleration for the most demanding of 32-bit graphics and 3D applications. Available now for OEMs, it will begin retail shipping in April with either 4 MB or 8 MB of memory starting at an MSRP of $279.

Based on Cirrus Logic's hot new GD 5464 Laguna3D graphics chip, and combined with VideoLogic's award-winning GrafixMAX driver technology, the GrafixStar 550 delivers up to 35 percent better performance and is priced more than 50 percent below competitive products.

VideoLogic, the international PC multimedia and 3D graphics company, has today launched a low-cost, entry-level 64-bit multimedia accelerator targeted at the PC OEM and consumer upgrade markets. Based on the new S3 Trio 64V2 controller, the GrafixStar 410 will eventually replace the popular GrafixStar 400 (based on the S3 Trio 64V+) as VideoLogic's ultra-low-cost, entry-level graphics card solution.
