The Young ARIAS are the brand-new UK awards for young people who love making audio! If you’re aged 8 to 18 or a school that’s involved in radio, podcasts or audio projects, then it’s time to shine a spotlight on your talent.
Pure is delighted to sponsor the award for Best in Music, which celebrates the best programme, show or podcast that is devoted to music – no matter whether it’s old or new, local or international or what genre it is. We just need to feel how much you love it, and that you want to share that passion with your listeners.
Entries close on the 15th March and it’s completely free to get involved. To find out more and view the full list of categories, visit www.youngarias.co.uk.
As well as the award itself, winners will be offered money can’t buy prizes, such as a chance to guest host a national radio show, mentoring, tours of studios, work shadowing and advice about breaking into the industry.
The Young ARIAS will showcase and nurture talent from all backgrounds and will be promoted nationally. Some of radio’s biggest stars are also on board as ambassadors, including BBC Radio 1’s Matt Edmondson and Mollie King.
Speaking about the awards, Mollie King said: “Matt and I are so honoured to be ambassadors for the 2019 Young ARIAS; I can’t wait to meet all the new radio talent around the UK. Working on Radio 1 is a dream come true for me, it’s such a privilege to be involved in making other people’s dreams come true too.”
The awards ceremony will take place on Friday 17th May. To keep up with news of the awards on social media, follow @theyoungarias.
