Looking for some playlist inspiration? Well look no further, because we’ve cherry-picked the hottest new hits to help soundtrack your February! We’ve even wrapped them up in a shiny playlist, so you can keep the music playing wherever you go.

James Blake ft. Travis Scott & Metro Boomin - Mile High

Since emerging onto the scene ten years ago, James Blake has blossomed from an unassuming twenty-something singer-songwriter, to a self-assured, serially-collaborating, global superstar. In the latest step of his evolution, the Brit soloist has crafted a hip-hop dimension to his electro-soul sound on new album, Assume Form.

Teaming up with rap’s hottest property right now, Travis Scott, the duo interchange verses over a slick beat courtesy of hit producer, Metro Boomin. What results is an intoxicating, woozy affair that showcases two of the world’s most exciting solo artists at the peak of their powers.

Billie Eilish - Bury a Friend

At the tender age of 17, Billie Eilish has already cemented her status as a global pop icon. With a legion of worldwide fans, sell-out tours and billions of streams under her name, the LA-based singer puts most teenagers to shame. Now, with a debut album in the offing, we’re treated to Bury a Friend.

Pulsating bass, whispered lyrics and a distorted backing vocal create an uneasy atmosphere, as Eilish ponders: “when we all fall asleep, where do we go?” Sounding as if it was made to soundtrack a horror film, this would be top of Freddy Krueger’s playlist if he had a decent taste in music.

Vampire Weekend - Harmony Hall

After a painstakingly long break away in the musical wilderness, New York indie heroes Vampire Weekend are back! Revealing the first material from their upcoming 18-track-strong fourth album, Harmony Hall is an exciting sign of things to come.

Opening with gently harmonising guitars, the track sees the trio at their usual chirpy best – as it later bursts into life with a joyous singalong chorus. Clearly inspired by the likes of Paul Simon and Joni Mitchell, the band have managed to cultivate a timeless sound that evokes the comforting warmth of a summer’s day. Pure bliss.

Grace Carter - Heal Me

On her powerful new single, Heal Me, British newcomer Grace Carter is in full-on ballad mode. After a blissful symphony of strings open proceedings, the singer-songwriter reveals a soulful voice that lyrically paints a picture of an emotionally gruelling romantic split.

Showcasing Carter’s raw talent for penning soul-searching epics, the song hits a triumphant note as she professes: “I'm not waiting for, for your love, you can keep it.” Not only an empowering message, it’s a gorgeous track that points to a big future for the fledgling star.

Wiley, Sean Paul, Stefflon Don ft. Idris Elba - Boasty

It’s only February, but we can already guarantee that Boasty will be one of the most eclectic collaborations of 2019! While a team-up of Wiley and Stefflon Don, both UK urban artists, makes total sense, things get a little interesting when Sean Paul and a very special guest are thrown into the mix.

Spicing the winter up with a tropical dancehall vibe, the track kicks off with explosive back-to-back verses from Wiley and Stefflon Don – before a killer hook is delivered by Sean Paul. But it’s Hollywood star Idris Elba who steals the show, with a surprisingly impressive guest-slot for the track’s finale.
