Driving home for Christmas? Travel tips for the festive season

by

The AA have announced that almost 19 million motorists will be hitting the roads on Friday 21st December, as the annual getaway from work and school combines with a last-minute flurry of Christmas shopping.

Although Friday is expected to be the busiest day on the roads, the weekend will continue to see a culmination of festive shopping traffic and trips to family, friends and sporting events.

Christmas Eve should result in less commuter traffic than normal, but 50% of drivers are still expected to travel – with a surge in visits to friends and family before the big day.

If you’re set to be one of the millions of drivers embarking on a journey this Christmas, it’s important that your journey is appropriately soundtracked!

Are you more of an All I Want for Christmas Is You? Do you prefer a bit of retro with of Slade’s Merry Xmas Everybody? Perhaps you’re less of a traditionalist and prefer some of Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody – a Christmas number one in 1975 and 1991!

Whatever your festive favourites are, make sure you can listen to them as you drive home this Christmas with our Highway range of DAB adapters. With Spotify connectivity and traffic updates, you’ll be sure to beat the festive masses.

Easy to set up, the Highway 600 and 400 adapters work seamlessly with your existing car audio system. For added convenience, the Highway 600 offers hands-free calling and voice-controlled access to your smartphone’s personal assistant.
