Pure has teamed up once more with the RSPB Wildlife Explorers and Fun Kids to launch a new competition, giving young poets the chance to hear their work read on the radio.
Children in three age categories- Under 8, 8-12, and 13 upwards are invited to write a ‘wild poem’ about a bug, bird, animal or special place. The wining piece will not only be read out on the Fun Kids station, but the author will receive a Pure Radio too.
Over 13s also have the option to enter a Twitter Competition for the first time, and send their poems on Twitter using the hashtag #wildverse.
This year’s judge will be award winning writer Gill Lewis, a former vet who has written a series of books for children reflecting her passion for wild animals and places. Everyone can enter their poems online at www.funkidslive.com/wildverse or send their poems into:

The first place prize will be one of Pure’s Sensia 200D Connect internet radios, that come with colour touch screens, and the runners up will receive One Flow internet radios. The winner of the Twitter category will receive a Jongo S3 wireless multiroom speaker.
The closing date is Friday 25th October 2013 and the poems will be read out on air during the weekend of 21/22nd December.
