Pure is once again teaming up with the RSPB Wildlife Explorers, Fun Kids and Words for Life to bring you the second annual WildVerse poetry competition.
Children and young people ‘aged up to 19’ are invited to submit their ‘wild poems’ which can be about a bug, a bird, a tree or any kind of wildlife.
The winning entries will be read out on Fun Kids, the UK’s only radio station dedicated for children, between the 27th and 31st December 2011. There are two age categories – under 8’s and 8 years and over - and the main winners will win a Pure Sensia internet-connected digital radio with colour touchscreen, and the four runners up in each category will receive a Pure ONE Flow internet-connected digital radio so they can listen to their poems being read out on Fun Kids.
The competition will be judged by Lauren St John, author of Blue Peter’s Book of the Year 2011 – Dead Man’s Cove. Lauren is a patron of the Born Free foundation and a passionate campaigner for animal conservation and welfare.
