Energy Saving Radios

Here at Pure we are always looking for ways to improve our products. These days we are all becoming more aware of our use of the world's resources including materials, energy and the environment as a whole.

We work hard to make sure that our radios adhere to the EcoPlus ethos. As part of this effort we've managed to reduce the power consumption of all of our products by including things like auto dimming or switchable backlights on displays, ultra-low power standby power and in-unit rechargeable battery pack options.

All this hard work hasn't gone unnoticed and we're proud to have received the Energy Saving Trust Recommended endorsement for many of our radios.

While working with the Energy Saving Trust to evaluate our products we made an exciting discovery …

*'A Pure 'Energy Saving Trust Recommended' digital radio consumes less than 3.5W of electricity in use. Comparison based on a low energy bulb of 14W or above. (A typical low energy bulb to replace a 60W incandescent 'traditional' bulb uses between 13W and 18W.)

The Energy Saving Trust takes into account their energy efficiency, sustainability (to gauge their overall environmental impact), and how economical they are to run.
